BOSTON, MA. – The Miami Heat defeat the Boston Celtics 98-79 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday night.
Throughout the entire game, the Celtics could not keep up with the Heat’s offense - AKA LeBron James. LeBron came out early, sinking 14 in the first quarter and 30 at the half. In constant motion and with a strong demeanor, James was 12-14 and shot 86% from the field. Dwayne Wade and Mario Chalmers followed James with only six points each.
At halftime the Heat led 55-42.
From the start of the second half, LeBron’s endurance was questioned. Could he finish the game as strong as he started? YES. Even though LeBron missed his first shot at the top of the third, he remained poised and under control – constantly attacking the rim, knocking down jump shot after jump shot, James finished the game with 45 points on19-26 shooting, 15 rebounds, and five assists.
The Heat forces Game 7 with a final score of 98-79.
Game 7 will be played Saturday night at 8:30 EST on ESPN in Miami.
